Second visit to this lovely cottage - the first was two years ago.
There were fantastic snowy views here in this little peaceful oasis and
now we've got to go back to the sunny South!! We'll definitely be back
again.

Great cottage in a lovely
setting. Even the rain didn't keep us off the moors but nice to come back
and warm up in front of the wood burning stove. Great food at the Fleece
Inn.
This was our family's first Christmas away and its been a wonderful week. We have been for walks every day with our dog and 9 month old baby. Thank you for a wonderful stay in a beautiful cottage.
First visit for our family to this wonderful cottage. The cottage is very clean and has everything you could ask for in a week's stay. Only went on one walk but what a wonderful walk with magnificent view - We did this walk every day. Only 5 mins to Holmfirth with lovely cream teas and pretty shops. The Fleece Inn was a regular jaunt for us, lovely food and yummy ales.... will definitely be back next year.

We very much enjoyed our
stay in Holme and found the cottage to be an excellent base from which
to venture out as far as York, Manchester and the Lake District.
Appreciated little touches like lunch boxes for packed lunches. Many
thanks indeed.
Second stay. Enjoyed again - lovely weather. Will be here again next year.
Enjoyed long walks with our dog and nice meals at night in the Fleece.

Lovely cottage and very nice walks. The Fleece is a very good pub
with excellent food.
Found the cottage well presented with all the needs for our short stay. We spent most of the time in Uppermill with the Saddleworth Morris Men at their Rustcart weekend. We found the locals very friendly and welcoming.
We've had a lovely time. Lovely walks with the dogs. They slept like logs and so did we. Lovely food and very friendly at the Fleece. We will definitely be returning.
Extended our walks enjoying the interesting trails and tracks on the doorstep. The weather was more April then August but it never rains in the Fleece Inn.

We've had a lovely week
walking on the moors and exploring the local area. Our dog really doesn't
want to leave.
A most enjoyable stay. The local walk plans were a great help as we were able to venture out to explore the area as soon as we arrived.

Lovely cottage. Cosy and homely.
The two greyhounds settled really well and loved the walks up past the
school and to Digley reservoir …
Very nice cottage in great setting. The Fleece served ‘Yummy’ food. The ideal short break. We would like to visit again.
Had a relaxing week, enjoyed the local walks… Nice clean comfortable cottage with everything we needed.

extended our dates at the last minute which was a great help to us.

First thing that struck me was how well equipped the cottage is.
Usually a cottage for 4 has stuff for just that many people. Also the
games, jigsaws and toys for children were much appreciated …
The railway Museum in York is also a good day out.
Hope to return at some point.
Thank you for our short stay. We love the village with its pub and wonderful walks. We came up from Cornwall to visit family and hope to return here soon.
What a wonderful place to spend Christmas. We had a fantastic time walking in the breathtakingly beautiful landscape that surrounds your lovely cottage and we loved warming back up again around your lovely woodburner … We are already planning our next trip.
Great pre-Christmas break, kicking off with one of our favourite bands in Holmfirth. Useful bus service too since we left our car behind. Got some good walking in around the reservoirs etc. Had planned to head up to Black Hill but snow put an end to that. Walked up to Holme Moss though – very atmospheric.

Lovely cottage – could not have wished for better.
A perfect location for some great walks and breath-taking views.
The boys loved the toys and books in their room. They had bedtime stories
every night.
Really enjoyed my short stay in this lovely cottage. Fabulous location, beautifully equipped – could not have asked for more.
Another great relaxing stay thank you. Had lunch in ‘The wrinkled stocking’ on Saturday – yummy! Took the boys to Legoland Discovery Centre at the Trafford Centre on Sunday which they loved. Would recommend for kids up to 10-ish
Had a lovely relaxing holiday in the best equipped cottage we have ever been to.
Us and the girls had a wonderful week. The cottage is just a home from home. We have already passed on details to friends and hope to return soon.
