Holmfirth Cottage (read comments from our visitors'
book)
The
cottage is situated at the heart of the small village of Holme, on
the cobbles. Holme is at the head of the Holme valley about 3
miles from the centre of Holmfirth which is famous for the television series "
Last of the Summer Wine" and much earlier for Bamford films & postcards. To
the West the road rises steeply up to Holme Moss and wild, open
moorland. Holme Moss is famous with cycle enthusiasts both for the
challenge of the climb and the glorious descent beyond.
Holme is on the edge of the Peak National Park with all the wonderful
countryside and walks that the park has to offer. To the North East is the
West Riding of Yorkshire with its historic mills, canals and industrial
heritage. Within easy reach of many attractions for all the family.
